Tamboerkorps St. Cecilia Zegge
Marching parade contests World division
Bio
Founded in November 1957, Tamboerkorps St. Cecilia Zegge has grown into one of
the most respected drum corps in the Netherlands. With over six decades of
dedication, tradition, and musical excellence, the corps has earned a strong
reputation. Specialising exclusively in drums, the ensemble delivers powerful
marching performances that combine rhythm, precision, and visual impact. The use
of traditional and varied percussion instruments adds depth and character to its
distinctive sound. Known for their iconic cream-white uniform jackets, the corps
presents a striking image to match its musical quality. Under the leadership of Drum
Major Erik Pesman and instructors Corné Pas and Berry Koevoets, the corps strives
for the highest standards in both music and marching. Corné also leads the training
programme for new members, ensuring each performer is fully prepared before
joining the main ensemble. The corps’ achievements include gold medals at the
World Music Contest in 2005, 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2022, and national
championship titles in 1978, 2000, 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2026, following an
honorary invitation, Tamboerkorps St. Cecilia Zegge proudly returns to the World
Division Marching Competition at the WMC in Kerkrade – ready to showcase the
passion, unity, and excellence that define this remarkable ensemble.
