How can I register via My WMC?

Registration for the World Music Contest (WMC) 2026 takes place via My WMC, the online platform for participants. By creating an account, you gain access to all application forms and communication with the organization. Please note: creating an account does not equal a confirmed registration.

What are the entry requirements for the contests?

Participation in the Concert Contests, Marching & Show, Brass Band, and Percussion Ensemble is open to bands and ensembles that meet the conditions outlined in the official festival regulations. These specify the requirements per division and category.

Where and when can I buy tickets for WMC 2026?

Tickets for the World Music Contest (WMC) 2026 will be available online via our official website. Once ticket sales start (expected by November 2025), you will find all information about prices, day passes, and passe-partouts there.

How do I get to Kerkrade (public transport, car, parking)?

Kerkrade is easily accessible by public transport and car. Kerkrade Centrum train station is within walking distance of several festival venues. Traveling by car? Parking facilities are available near the stages. More details on travel and parking will follow closer to the festival.

Are there accommodation options nearby?

Yes, the South Limburg region offers plenty of options: hotels, B&Bs, and campsites. Through the Visit Zuid-Limburg website, you can easily book accommodation near the festival venues.

Is WMC accessible for visitors with disabilities?

How can I sign up as a volunteer?

What roles and tasks are available for volunteers?

Volunteers play a vital role in the success of WMC. Tasks include audience guidance, ticket control, and hospitality, as well as supporting participants and backstage operations. You can indicate your preferences in the registration form.

Do volunteers receive compensation or facilities (meals, clothing, travel costs)?

Volunteers do not receive financial compensation, but they do get a volunteer package including meals during shifts, a recognizable WMC T-shirt, and access to selected festival events. Travel cost reimbursement can be discussed if needed.

How much time does volunteering at WMC require?

The time commitment depends on the role and your availability. You can volunteer for a few days or for the entire festival period. Together we’ll find a schedule that works for you.

How can I apply for a press card?

To access the World Music Contest (WMC) 2026, journalists, photographers, and other media representatives need a press accreditation. Applications can easily be submitted via our online form. Please note: submitting an application does not automatically guarantee accreditation.

Does press accreditation grant access to all stages?

A press card provides access to the main festival venues and press areas. For some locations or special events, additional rules may apply. This information will be shared once accreditation is granted
