Kreisverbands JUGEND blasorchester Ravensburg
Wind band 2nd division
Bio
The KreisverbandsJUGENDblasorchester Ravensburg (KVJBO) shines as the
flagship youth wind orchestra of the Ravensburg district. Comprising nearly 80
young musicians aged 14 to 25, it draws its members from 115 music clubs and
schools across the region, uniting them into one powerful symphonic ensemble. Its
mission is as ambitious as it is inspiring: to give talented young players the chance
to grow musically by performing challenging symphonic wind repertoire—works that
often exceed the possibilities of local ensembles. At the same time, the KVJBO
strengthens the broader music scene, as its members return to their home bands
enriched, often taking on leadership roles as section leaders, youth coordinators, or
even conductors. At the artistic helm is Thomas Wolf, district conductor of the
Blasmusikverband Ravensburg. With deep commitment and expertise, he shapes
the ensemble's sound and challenges the young musicians to reach their full
potential. Beyond musical excellence, the KVJBO Ravensburg places great value
on personal development. Team spirit, communication skills, and a sense of
responsibility are all cultivated alongside artistic growth, creating a holistic
experience for each participant. Through annual auditions held in November, the
KVJBO continually opens its doors to dedicated new musicians—sending a strong
message of vibrant, community-centered wind music in the Ravensburg region.
