‘Door Samenwerking Groot’ (DSG in short) is the youngest Drum- and Showcorps
from the Frisian county Waadhoeke. The association, founded on the first of
January 2023 by a merger of three music associations, has since grown into a
dynamic organization¸ focused on the future, with a fresh identity. This new
association knows how to entertain the audience by combining tradition with
innovation. With more than 180 members, DSG offers a broad platform for both
young and old. The association includes a Drumcorps, Young DSG, and various
Colorguard, Twirl, and Children’s Dance groups. Music and show come together in
performances full of joy, passion, and expression. A special role is reserved for the
Summerguard. This (adult) Colorguard group adds a unique visual dimension to
every Drum- and Showcorps performance. Their artistic choreography and
expressive style turns each show into an extraordinary experience. In 2023, DSG
enjoyed a dream start with (CGN)championships, promotions, and brand-new
uniforms. Highlights included winning the European Show Championship during the
Rasteder Musiktage in Germany and participation in the BLV Tattoo Show in
France. Today, DSG is a welcome guest at a wide variety of events – from
streetparades to tattoos and various village celebrations – throughout the Frisian
country and far beyond.
