Established in 1986, Clondalkin Youth Band has become one of Ireland’s most
celebrated musical ensembles, proudly marking its 40th anniversary in 2026.
Rooted in community spirit, the band has provided generations of young performers
with exceptional music and dance education in a supportive, inclusive setting. With
a membership of 120 and a thriving senior band of 80, Clondalkin Youth Band
continues to grow in strength and artistry. The band has dazzled audiences across
the globe—from New York and Savannah to stages throughout Europe—and
earned international acclaim at the World Music Contest in 2005, 2009, 2013, and
2017. Following a post-COVID revitalization, the band has invested in new uniforms
and upgraded instruments, fueling a fresh wave of creativity and excellence. Recent
accolades include Best Musical Performance at the 2024 Limerick International
Band Championships and Most Entertaining Performance in 2025. For over 30
years, Clondalkin Youth Band has been a standout in Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day
Parade, performing annually for over half a million spectators and a global audience
of 10 million. Competing alongside top international bands, in 2025, they earned the
prestigious “Spirit of the Parade” award. Beyond the parade, the band continues to
uplift communities across Ireland, performing at concerts and festivals.
