Bio

The Benjama Band,, Benchamarachuthit School Chanthaburi. The band was
founded more than 30 years ago, originating from a boys’ school in Chanthaburi
Province, Thailand. Its achievements began with winning regional championships,
and later it gained nationwide recognition. In 1997, the band took part in the World
Music Contest in the Netherlands for the very first time, proudly winning a Gold
Medal in the Marching Contest and a Silver Medal in the Show Contest, both in the
Championship Division. The band continued to compete in the WMC in 2001, 2009,
and 2017, upholding a tradition of excellence and consistently bringing honor to the
school and to Thailand. This longstanding achievement stands as a testament to the
students’ dedication and the enduring prestige of the relationship between the World
Music Contest (WMC) and the Benjama Band.
