Associazione Musicale Culturale "Licinio Refice" Patrica (FR- Italy) has a century
old musical history. Band was founded in 1892. Since 2014, the Band has been
directed by Maestro Alessio Belli, who grew up within the Association and served as
bandleader for years. In 2003, it won first place in its category at the national band
competition “La Bacchetta d’oro” Frosinone; in 2004 it again secured first place at
the “A.M.A Calabria” competition in Lamezia Terme; in 2015 Band performed two
concerts in Pennsylvania and Toronto; in 2016, it established a musical twinning
with the Band of Sibragtsfall, performing in Austria in the Vorarlberg region. In 2018,
it participated in the International Festival for Wind Orchestra in Prague, ranking
first in its category and winning the award for the best performance of the
compulsory piece. In 2019, it performed in front of Pope Francis in the Vatican's
Nervi Hall. In 2023, it took part in the 23rd Edition of the International Festival of
Musical Bands & Majorettes in Giulianova, ranking second in its category.In 2025,
he participated in the Cremona Band Festival, achieving excellent result from the
international jury composed by Appermont,Mertens, Andreoli, working with them.
