Marching and Show Contests

The Marching and Show contests are without doubt the most visual and spectacular part of the World Music Contest in Kerkrade. Marching and show bands from all over the world come together for the 20th edition of WMC 2026, transforming the arena into a stunning spectacle of colour, music, movement and culture.

Mars- en Showwedstrijden combineren muziek, beweging en visuele impact op topniveau.

Tijdens de Mars- en Showwedstrijden presenteren bands die zich in een dynamische combinatie van muziek, mars en show. Ritme, discipline en expressie staan centraal, terwijl juryleden letten op zowel muzikale kwaliteit als visuele uitvoering. Het publiek kan rekenen op energieke optredens, kleurrijke formaties en internationale topensembles.

Fanfare Band | 1e division

Traditionally, most participating fanfare bands come from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, but ensembles from other countries also regularly compete in Kerkrade. Over the years, the Fanfare Band Contests have grown into a leading international competition for this distinctive orchestra type.
