WMC proudly presents a concert series showcasing the absolute world elite.
Leading orchestras from the international military music scene represent their countries as well as their unique wind music traditions. They present programmes featuring leading national composers and iconic works that have shaped wind music worldwide, complemented by exciting premieres.

In addition, the series includes two concerts by the very finest brass bands and brass ensembles of today, as well as the traditional finale of the International Conductors Competition.

All concerts within this series carry the designation ‘Best of’.

Brass Gala Concert
Monday 13 July 2026 – Rodahal
Brassband Willebroek (Belgium) & Cory Band (Wales)

The now legendary Brass Gala Concert promises to be a true evening for connoisseurs this year. Taking the stage are two brass bands whose musical reputations are firmly established at the very highest level: the current Belgian, European and World Champion Brassband Willebroek, and the innovative Cory Band.

Both ensembles will first compete against each other in the Brass Band Concert Division, before joining forces on Monday for an unforgettable evening of brass band music at the absolute highest level.

We conclude the line-up with a brass ensemble of almost mythical stature: German Brass.

For more than fifty years, this world-renowned ensemble has stood for virtuosity, refinement and an unparalleled level of musicianship within the chamber music repertoire. With their distinctive blend of masterful arrangements, brilliant technique and sparkling stage presence, they consistently deliver an unforgettable listening experience.

During this concert, German Brass presents a programme that fully confirms their status as the absolute world elite: from baroque splendour to contemporary gems, performed with the precision, humour and warmth for which the ensemble is internationally celebrated.
