The Association of Friends of the WMC consists of a group of loyal music enthusiasts who hold the World Music Contest close to their hearts. They are engaged, enthusiastic, and experience the WMC up close. As a member of this association, you support the WMC in an accessible way and become part of a close-knit community of regular visitors and music friends.

How it began

The association was formed in the late 1990s by a group of loyal WMC pass holders who wanted to be more closely involved. In 1998, the association was officially founded. What started with 61 members has since grown into a group of around 250 active members who support the WMC through their annual contributions and commitment.

What do the Friends do for the WMC?

The association contributes financially to the WMC each year, supports special activities, and serves as a sounding board for the organization. They also help promote the WMC to a wider audience.
