Every four years, the international wind music world gathers in Kerkrade for the World Music Contest (WMC). From 9 July to 2 August 2026, the world’s largest stage for concert bands, fanfare bands, brass bands, percussion ensembles, and marching & show bands returns in full force.

During this four-week festival, the absolute top of the wind music scene competes for the coveted world championship title in their discipline. But WMC is more – it's a unique, all-encompassing experience filled with musical spectacle, international encounters, and boundary-pushing concerts across the region.
