Bio

Brassband 'Kunst en Vriendschap' was founded in 1900 as a fanfare, after which
the switch to brass band took place in 1985. From its foundation to the present day,
Kunst en Vriendschap has been an active association that provides a wide variety
of performances such as: concerts, musical accompaniment to (village) events and
church services, festivals and other cultural initiatives. Every year the band tries to
participate in the Dutch Brass Band Championships in Utrecht. Kunst en
Vriendschap likes to play a varied program as much as possible. In addition to
original brass band repertoire, attention goes out for light music, e.g. for films and
musicals. Contemporary pop music and classical works are also on the repertoire.
Since 2026, Kunst en Vriendschap is conducted by Olav Dorst.
