Bio
Wind Orchestra of the Art Schools of Jihlava and Přelouč represents two leading
youth wind ensembles in the Czech Republic. Both orchestras are characterized by
a high level of performance, a long-standing tradition, and remarkable
achievements at national and international competitions. The collaboration of these
two orchestras for the World Music Contest in Kerkrade brings a unique artistic
synergy — an expanded instrumentation, a richer tonal palette, and the combination
of experienced musicians with the creative energy of the young generation. This
joint project will result in a cohesive, technically proficient, and expressively unified
ensemble that will proudly represent Czech art education abroad. At the same time,
it strengthens cooperation between two well-established institutions and
demonstrates that wind music in art schools not only has a strong tradition but also
a modern identity and promising future.
