Bio
Vlaams JeugdHarmonie Orkest (or translated Flemish Youth Wind Orchestra) is an
orchestra that was founded to give young musicians from the greater Leuven area
the opportunity to make music with their peers in an umbrella orchestra. By now, our
orchestra has more than 60 enthusiastic musicians who come together weekly to
make music. We have the ambition to bring music and culture to a broader
audience with an original twist. We lift ourselves and each other to a higher level
under our three core values: youth, quality and originality. We promote these values
by working out a new and original project every year that is always received with
great enthusiasm, both by our musicians and the audience. In addition, we
challenge ourselves with some more serious works during our annual concerts. And
last, but not least, we complement our schedule with memorable concert tours and
competitions at the highest level, at home and abroad
