Bio
For many years, the VBJ Youth Wind Orchestra has been capturing the hearts of
audiences with its vibrant performances and diverse musical repertoire. Each year,
the ensemble’s concert program is prepared during an intensive and inspiring music
week each year. Under the guidance of a professional team of music teachers and
an experienced musical director, the young musicians receive outstanding
instruction and artistic support. The VBJ Youth Wind Orchestra is part of the
Association of Bernese Youth Bands (VBJ), which has been promoting young
musical talent across the Canton of Bern since 1956. Around 70 talented musicians
aged between 13 and 25 come together in this orchestra to work on a wide range of
musical pieces, from classical works to contemporary and popular arrangements.
Through rehearsals, teamwork, and shared passion, they not only develop their
musical abilities but also form lasting friendships. The VBJ Youth Wind Orchestra
stands as a proud example of youthful energy, dedication, and love for wind music.
