Swedish National Youth Windband
Harmonieorkest 1e divisie
Bio
RUM:s Blåsarsymfoniker is Sweden’s National Youth Wind Orchestra, organized by
the Swedish National Association of Young Musicians (Riksförbundet Unga
Musikanter, RUM). Since 1975 the ensemble brings together some of the country’s
most talented young wind players, usually in high school or early university, for an
intensive period of rehearsals, concerts, and tours. Under the guidance of leading
conductors, the orchestra works with both the classical wind band repertoire and
newly composed works, offering its members a chance to grow musically in a
professional environment. Since its founding, RUM’s Blåsarsymfoniker has served
as an important platform for the next generation of Swedish musicians. Many former
members have continued into professional orchestras and ensembles, making the
orchestra a true showcase of Sweden’s musical future.
