Bio
Music that inspires – and achievements that impress. The 1st Corps of the
Spielmannszug Rödemis is one of the most successful and well-known marching
bands in Europe. With around 40 young members (average age 16), we regularly
travel throughout Germany, Europe, and the world. A special highlight for us was
our participation in the American-German Steuben Parade in New York City, USA,
in September 2025. Our shows combine modern and traditional elements
musical, passionate, and unique. We regularly and successfully compete against
the best international ensembles in various disciplines. With more than 350 first and
second prizes, our success speaks for itself. Here’s a brief overview of some of our
greatest achievements in recent years:
● “Best Flute Band” in the marching
competition at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade (NL), 2022
● 1st place in the
marching competition for fife and drum bands at the WA
