Bio
Showkorpsen Irene Ede is a renowned Dutch music and performance association
based in the central town of Ede. It celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2024. The
Showband, our flagship ensemble, comprises 50–60 members with an average age
of 23. Known for captivating performances, the Showband's diverse repertoire
features contemporary and recognizable self-arranged pieces. Having participated
in the WMC since 1992, they achieved 89.96 points in the Champions Division at
the 2022 edition of WMC with their show "Torn Together". In 2023 the showband
won the VLAMO Benelux Championship Show. In 2024 they became World
Champion at the World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) competition
in Rastede, Germany, with their "Queen of Egypt" performance, scoring 92.8 points.
From humble beginnings, Irene Ede has grown into a comprehensive organization
encompassing the Showband, Youth Showband, Iren3, and Music Kids. We remain
deeply committed to our local community, fostering musical talent and providing
entertainment both domestically and internationally.
