Bio
Shanghai No. 3 Girls' High School is a prestigious state-owned school, boasting a
133-year history and notable alumnae including Qingling Song, former Honorary
Chairman of the State. The school’s band, founded in 1991, consists of ca.65
students. Having performed in prestigious venues such as the Shanghai Concert
Hall and the Shanghai Grand Theatre, the band has won numerous awards,
including the first prize at the Shanghai Cuckoo Music Festival and the gold prize at
the National Band Competition. In 2017, it also showcased at the Independence
Day Parade in Washington and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
In 2024, has achieved GOLD in Division 2A Competition of the 9 th Singapore
International Band Festival.
