Bio
Since its founding in 1929 under the name "Harmonie" and later, after changing its
name to "Rijnmondband" in 1966, the association has been an innovative force in
the marchingband world. The Rijnmondband constantly pushes the boundaries of
musical and performance, only to surpass them again. The band's English style and
strict routine, along with its uniform, make it unique. The current lineup, consisting of
trumpets, saxophones, trombones, baritones, sousaphones, drums, cymbals, and
bass drum, gives the Rijnmondband its own distinctive sound, recognizable from a
distance. The Rijnmondband is often seen at tattoos at home and abroad, but can
also be seen during street parades, flower parades, and concerts. It also regularly
participates in various competitions and other contests to maintain and improve the
quality.
