Bio
The Oświęcim City Orchestra, led by Łukasz Jabcoń, was founded in October 2019
and has been developing dynamically since then, achieving success both nationally
and internationally. In June 2022, it participated in the 17th International Wind Band
Festival "Golden Trumpet" in Kozy, Bielsko-Biała, and Jasienica, receiving the
Golden Diploma and the Best Bandmaster Award for Łukasz Jabcoń. In July 2023,
at the 2nd Open Polish Band Championships in Radom, the orchestra won the title
of Polish Vice-Champion in the Concerto competition (Division II) and third place in
the international competition. The percussion and horn sections also received
awards. In June 2024, the orchestra represented Poland at the WAMSB World Band
Championships in Germany. There, it won the Gold Medal in Concert, the Silver
Medal in Parade, and the Bronze Medal in Marching. Recently, during the 5th
"Gryfickie Dęciaki" Festival in June 2025, the orchestra again won the Gold Medal
in the Concert category (92.12 points) and the Silver Medal for the marching.
