Bio
Showband Noordenveld is a unique music ensemble, with every element—both
seen and heard—designed in-house by a creative production team. Its distinct
sound comes from a carefully balanced blend of woodwinds and brass, allowing for
seamless transitions between classical, modern, swing, and ceremonial styles. The
rhythm section goes beyond the traditional role, with percussionists contributing
melodically. All music is custom-arranged to support this innovative approach.
Visual expression plays a key role, brought to life by the Color Guard—a vibrant
team using flags, props, and choreography to enhance the performance. This rare
fusion of sound and visuals sets Showband Noordenveld apart in the Dutch
marching scene, delivering an experience that engages both ear and eye. "CUBA
LIBRE" The official colors—burgundy red, white, and gold—symbolize energy,
simplicity, and pride, echoing the spirit of Cuba, the theme of this show. Iconic
pieces like Chan Chan, Cuban Pete, and Hasta Siempre Comandante highlight
Cuba’s musical richness. Night on Bald Mountain adds a contrasting Eastern
European flair, ending with Paralos Rumberos. Throughout, the vibrant Color Guard
brings the music to life, creating a powerful, visually stunning, and unforgettable
