The sound of Fanfare CWO have been heard in the city of Groningen since 1968. The band's repertoire is very diverse: from light to classical music, from choral to marches. Since 2004, CWO has been playing in the first division of the KNMO. Since then, the orchestra has delivered several successful performances.
Competitions and championships, including the Open Dutch Fanfare Championships, Rasteder Musiktage in Rastede, and the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, are regularly on the agenda. But performances in the city center of Groningen and concerts in collaboration with other musicians or choirs also consistently find a place on the busy schedule of Fanfare CWO. Fanfare CWO aims to promote amateur art in the city of Groningen and does so by playing music that deviates from the standard fanfare repertoire.
