Bio
The Broekhuizenvorst and Ooyen Fanfare Band is not a very large ensemble.
However, all types of instruments are represented. One of our band’s primary
ambitions was therefore to expand our instrumental line-up, for example by
recruiting new members and encouraging young musicians to come and play with
us. Naturally, members also join our band from the youth academy. Another
ambition of our fanfare band is to give a concert four times a year. These can be
either light pieces or concert works. For 2023, we had set our sights on the
competition on 5 November, where we defended our 3rd division status, resulting in
a 1st prize with promotion, and winning the division. The challenge in achieving our
ambitions is ensuring that everyone enjoys making music and continues to do so,
whilst still progressing technically and musically. A goal set a little further into the
future is to take part in the WMC in Kerkrade in 2026.
