Bio
The drumband of ‘Harmonie’ consists of a close group of percussionists with very
diverse backgrounds, but with one common passion: enjoying playing all kinds of
percussion music and make music at the highest possible level, without
compromising the excellent atmosphere and camaraderie within the group The
drum band of ‘Harmonie’ Slikkerveer, like the orchestra, plays an important cultural
role in the municipality of Ridderkerk. At numerous festivities, they provide musical
accompaniment together with the orchestra for marches such as the evening four
day march, the Easter march, performances on Queen's Day, the arrival of Saint
Nicholas, and they also participate in the association's summer and winter concerts.
Beyond this, the drum band is particularly active in competitions and festivals. For
example, they have already participated twice in the WMC in Kerkrade.
