Bio
Dating back to its drum corps origins in the 1960s, it gradually transformed into the
current standard instrumentation in 1982, and added the color guard section to
enhance visual effects in 1992. Since then, Chien Kuo HS Marching Band has
established itself as the leading marching ensemble in Taiwan, earning wide
acclaim for its excellence, creativity, and discipline. Members receive marching and
concert band trainings, and it is this dual mode that fortifies the fundamentals of the
band. The band travels abroad regularly to participate in competitions and
performances, and has entertained many audience in Malaysia, Singapore,
Australia, the United States, Italy, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan,
Korea, the Netherlands, Indonesia and so on. Recognitions, among many, include
four first-place standings, three second-place standings, and two third place in the
World Championship for Marching Show Bands.
