World Youth Brass Band

Join the World Youth Brass Band

During the 19th edition of WMC the World Youth Brass Band (WYBB) will be formed, consisting of the most talented brass players and percussionists from all over the world between the ages of 18 and 23. A group of 29 selected musicians will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform together for a week under the direction of two top teachers/conductors.

WMC is a place where musicians from different cultures and backgrounds come together to learn and make music. With the WYBB, WMC wants to bring different brassband cultures together in Kerkrade and stimulate crossovers. The WYBB is a fantastic opportunity for talented young people to play together at a world level and develop themselves for a full week.

As a participant of WYBB, you will give a concert during the award ceremony of the Concert Division Brass Band and perform at the Roda Hall, the BLOW! Stage on the market square and other locations in the region. The deadline for registration has closed.
