Trumpet player Eric Vloeimans is nothing less than a phenomenon. He is known as one of the very best wind musicians of the Netherlands and cannot be pigeonholed into a genre or a style. His characteristic sound, in which jazz predominates, is completely unique. Moreover, he is always looking for interesting connections between musicians with different backgrounds. During the World Music Contest, he will be on stage with drummer Arie den Boer and the wind players of Ravelli Brass.
Drummer Arie den Boer has played with the Metropole Orchestra, Paul de Leeuw, Charly Luske, Rob de Nijs, Jeroen van der Boom and many other artists. Ravelli Brass consists of the seven-member wind section that originated from the former Het Gelders Orkest. Last year Eric Vloeimans, Ravelli Brass and Arie den Boer joined forces and are now touring the country in this formation. This unique combination of musicians will release their first album in 2022.
This concert promises to be an evening of steamy jazz and improvisation. A unique opportunity to see master trumpeter Vloeimans at work.
