15:00 - 16:30
Rolduc Abby
From € 15.00

Organist Jan Hage and percussionist Tatiana Koleva are both celebrated and leading soloists. As a duo, they have put this unique combination of instruments on the map with new compositions and high-level improvisations.

An important work in this program is The Black Host by American composer William Bolcom. He wrote one of the first works for this combination of instruments in 1967, a composition in which musical, technical and emotional extremes meet: light versus classical music, fear versus resignation. The Dies Irae and Psalm 12 meet in an alienating and sometimes grotesque encounter.
