The contests and the artistic programme - in other words, the artistic aspect of the festival - form the basis of the WMC. The volunteer teams will be led by artistic managers Björn Bus and Henk Smit. They are responsible for the artistic implementation of both the contests and the line-up during the entire WMC.

This team supervises all the contests in Kerkrade: in the Theatre, the Rodahall and in the city centre of Kerkrade. Members of this team ensure that everything is arranged at the contest location so that the participating bands can perform to the best of their abilities. The team assists the jury and makes sure that the prize-giving ceremony runs smoothly.
This team accompanies all bands in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium. Members of this team ensure that everything is arranged in the stadium so that the participating bands can deliver a top performance. The team supports the jury and ensures that the award ceremony runs smoothly.
This voluntee team is in charge of a new part of WMC: WMC Fringe. Participants in WMC Fringe perform on various open air stages (WMC Village stage in the city park, the BLOW! Stage on the market square and numerous other stage locations are available). Marching and Show bands will have the opportunity to present themselves in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium or via a route through Kerkrade. The team will assist the participants during a performance (before, during and after).
